Exciting Half Term Activities

Half term is well under way, with the kids off school it's easy to run out of ideas that will keep them busy.

It is great to have the family home over the summer, especially when the weather has been as glorious as it has been! We recently asked our lovely Facebook followers for some suggestions on how to keep the kids entertained during the summer holidays. Here are a few ideas (along with a couple of our own) that will keep you and your little one busy all summer long.

One suggestion from Debbie works in all weathers. She suggested that a good way of keeping the little ones busy for a few hours would be to go on a walk in your local area - before hand make a list of things that you will find or see along the way and tick them off as you go along. This will give the kids a mini mission and make them feel like they have accomplished something along the way.

One of our personal suggestions helps you, as well as keeping your little on entertained. If their room is in need of a bit of a revamp, why not get the little one involved in choosing new items and helping to store items away. This is the perfect opportunity to have a good old sort out of your childs bedroom. Getting them involved in the change will also make them feel involved and teaches them to carry out tasks with a goal of completing them. Let them pick their new bed, whether that be a cabin bed, tent bed, captains bed or study bed. There are a range of beds to choose from and one that will suit their individual styles and needs.

Another Facebook follower of ours suggested bike rides - this is another great activity especially if your child is old enough to ride a bike. This is a great way to add some fitness into family time.

Another suggestion of our own (weather permitting!) is to create a tea party picnic in the garden. You could even decorate the garden in some luxury bunting and fairy lights to make it super magical.

Do you have any other activities that we could add? Get in touch we would love to hear your ideas.
