Kids Novelty Beds – A Good or Bad Idea?

February 12, 2013

There are many types of novelty kids beds on the market currently; from car beds to princess beds.  Whether or not novelty beds are suitable for children comes down to three main elements: quality, practicality and preference.  At Childrens Bed Centres we do offer some kids beds which could be classed as novelty beds, but without neglecting the quality manufacturing elements and that you find across the entire CBC kids bed and bedroom furniture range.

Often when you look for novelty beds – ‘Car Beds’ for example; you often find products that are poorly and/or cheaply made, that will only last for a very short period of time.  Of course there are some more robust and practical designs on the market, but be cautious when shopping for a novelty bed for your child as they often seem like a good idea at the time, but can be grown out of very quickly.

At Childrens Bed Centres we have opted to include two novelty bed types in our current collection; children’s four poster beds and kids tent beds.  All of our children’s beds are suitable for use by kids and adults – so they are durable enough to last for many years as your child gets older.  The designs whilst being loved by young children, are also classic and practical to make them also appeal to older children, thus extending the longevity of the product.

Children’s Four Poster Beds

Our range of kids four poster beds are made with sturdy posts built into the bed head and footboards.  Curtain rails attach to the posts using brass bolts, that can easily be unscrewed using an allen key (provided) to put up curtains and for cleaning etc.  Incorporated into our childrens four poster beds is storage in the form of cupboards and drawers: Standard kids four poster beds have two cupboards and two drawers, our children’s four poster cabin beds feature two large cupboards and three storage drawers.  All of our children’s four poster beds are available in natural ash wood, white and pink, and in two widths and three lengths to suit small or large bedrooms.  Customers can hang their own choice of curtains on the rails provided, or select from the four colours available on our website: white, pale pink, fuchsia and lilac.
